The Old Homeplace
I did this page for a journaling challenge on Scrapflair. I took the picture of the cabin on our trip to Cades Cove, near Pigeon Forge, Tn. It's such a beautiful place with preserved old homes and churches from the late 1700's. I love those old places and it always gets my old mind thinking what life must have been like back then.
Don't remember right now where I found the frame but it was a freebie from somewhere on digiscrap depot. The staple is from one of CJS kits, don't remember which one, I guess my mind is still stuck in the 1700's. LOL

Such A Big Blessing
in such a tiny package. Introducing Ashton John Blevins, our great-grandson. We weren't expecting him until September, but he's here and the doctors say he's doing very well. His breathing is 50% respirator and 50% on his own and they have even started giving him a little mother's milk every 6 hours in addition to IV's and he is tolerating it well. He's active and doesn't like his diaper changed, lol. Thank you all so much for your prayers and please keep them going up.
The kit is called "Heritage" from Designs by Terrells.

Rested and Refreshed....
I think NOT! Though, that was the purpose, it didn't turn out quite the way we expected. We left for the campground on Wednesday, got the camper set up and yea, we're camping! Thursday, our youngest son, Kevin, brought his boat up and he, Gary and our two grandsons went out fishing while I stayed curled up in a lounge chair with a good book at the campground. Friday was a peaceful, relaxing day. Then my work began... Saturday was Kick Off Day for Bible School, so I drove grandsons to the church. It was a lot of fun but I'm thinking "why did we try to mix a camping trip and bible school in the same week?", because I had (as usual) volunteered to help out in bible school. Thankfully, the campground that we love to visit is not that far from our home because I used nearly two tanks of gas in my van and we didn't even leave the county. LOL. There is much more to this story, but I'll save that for later... let me just say..."There's no place like home!" and I'm happy to be back. I've missed you all terribly! Thank y'all so much for all the love and hugs left for us on the veranda, in the yard and in the driveway!! LOL I had to caution "Rhett" not to step on the hugs when he got out of the truck after getting the camper parked in the side yard. LOL
Such a Sweet Surprise
I found this waiting for me when I returned home from our little camping expedition. It is from one of my very dear and very talented friends, Miss Carol. Thank you so much dear friend. This really means a lot to me. Click on the link to see some of the awesome talent this lady has. http://www.angelscrapper.blogspot.com/
