Wishing you a very happy 'Special Day'

Happy Anniversary to our wonderful friends, Dennis and Linda. May you continue to make beautiful memories together for many more years to come.

Brrrrr...

My, is seems as if everyone has some snow except our sweet little Texan. What do y'all say we send her about 3 or 4 inches? LOL. It seems to be coming from a northerly direction...hmmm can we all say "Alberta Clipper"? Thanks, Miss Carol. Our high temp for today was 15 and that's without factoring in the wind chill. Despite the cold and snow, Rhett and I ventured out to the grocery store today to pick up some odds and ends. Ya know...chips, dip, Coke, Cocoa for hot chocolate, donuts...just a few of the essentials. LOL Now we can just sit inside and watch it snow, well I can for at least one more day. Have appointment for hair cut and perm on Thursday, but we are suppose to get a heat wave of right around the freezing mark on Thursday. I have all the Christmas shopping finished, except for the food for Christmas Eve dinner. All children and grandchildren will be here and I'm so excited. Should be around 25 people here. Yep, I'll be cooking.
Haven't done any scrap pages for a while. I can't seem to get into my creative mode. I've tried a few pages but not very happy with any of them so I put them on hold for a while. I was looking through my blog the other day, all the way back to my very first post. I was amazed that it was a little over 3 years since that very first post. Wow, how time flies!
Well, ladies, I just wanted to check in with y'all and let you know toddies are being served nightly in the parlor, so if you're inclined to brave the cold and snow, please come on in to the parlor and warm up.
I love you all, dearly...stay warm and stay safe...and, as Linda says "make those memories". Cherish every single one.
Love and hugs,
Miss Scarlett

Miss "Judy-Too"

One of the very first persons to befriend me several years ago when I was doing only SBF. As I remember it, she sent me a message saying that "Judy" was an old name that you didn't hear much anymore and it was her name also. So I started calling her 'JudyToo'. From that simple little message a lovely friendship began. One that I treasure very much. I pray that your birthday is filled with many blessings and much happiness,my sweet friend,'JudyToo'.
Love you!

Gage's First Thanksgiving

All was quiet in the parlor yesterday. We spent Thanksgiving with lots of family members at Kevin and Dawn's house. Dawn is a Paula Deen wannabe. lol. She loves to cook and she does it very well. I've never seen so much food..I lost count of people at number 20 and she still had lots of leftovers. Gage made good use of those 5 teeth he has. Loves him some mashed 'taters'. I have so many cute pics of him. More pages on the way.

We hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for it makes me ashamed of complaining of aches and pains. Sometimes, I need to be reminded of my many blessings...they far out number anything that I could complain of!!

I made this page using AngelScrapper's "Fall Splendor" kit.

Ya gotta take the bad with the good but it all works out in the end.

Bad = the fact that Cory's high school football team lost their playoff game last night, so their season is over. But they did put up a good fight and had a mostly good season. Being ranked #5 in their division in the state. I'd call that something to be proud of.

Good = just finished watching my beloved Alabama Crimson Tide beat up on Mississippi State. Yeah, Roll Tide! (nope, even though I'm a TN southern belle, I've never been a Vols fan.)

Great= just came back into the parlor and found that two of my dearest "missing in action" friends had visited for hot toddies while I was watching the game. Sorry I missed you Sylvia and Jay!!! Great to hear from you all again....y'all come back real soon now, ya hear!! LOL. Sure have missed you guys, but I certainly understand how real life doesn't always allow time off for playing.

Haven't had a lot of play time myself recently. Miss Fluff is learning to walk (heaven help me when she fully gets the hang of it, lol) and Gage is trying his best to crawl. Right now he finds that he can usually roll to where ever it is he wants to get to. I can tell he is going to be a very independent little dude..when we stand him up he keeps trying to push our hands away as if to say..."I can do it myself, thank you very much!" They are both so funny when they are here together. Wednesday was a "Gracie" day and Kevin brought Gage by to visit. Well, Gage is so totally possessive of his Papaw..he laid his head down on Papaw's chest and just stared at Gracie as if to say "my Paw..don't even think about touching him". But they really do love each other, Gracie wants to give Gage kisses but she is almost afraid to because he is all hands and wants to just grab her and pull her to him. lol. Gotta teach that young man some manners on how to treat a lady, lol.

Oh yeah, forgot to say I got reports back from X-rays and CT's. Have to see an orthopedic doc. Something about severe degeneration of C5/6 and C6/7 spine with disc narrowing and osteophyte formation. No wonder I've been in so much pain. I think the short term for all this is simply "OLD AGE". lol.

Well, must get ready for bed now, gotta get up early for church and going to be a busy week, we are having revival services all next week. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend and a fabulous week ahead..just 'plum' full of memories!!
Love and Hugs,
Miss Scarlett

Paw's Helper

Gage came dressed in his Carharts and work boots, all ready to help Paw in the yard. Looks as if he is telling Paw how things need to be done, and I'm sure Paw will agree to do it Gage's way.

Cory

Did I blink my eyes? Because that's how it seems. You have grown up so quickly right before my eyes.

This is Cory, our 15 year old grandson (older brother to Gage and Jacob). There is so much I could say about this young man. He never leaves our house without first giving hugs and a kiss to both Mamaw and Papaw and saying he loves us. Does the same thing even if we run into them at WalMart or the grocery store. He says he will never get to big to hug and kiss Paw and Maw even in public. LOL.

He's always been our sweet, loving, well behaved, well mannered, smart, helpful grandson. That's not to say that the others aren't. We have just been much closer to Cory because we always babysat him and "Jay" from the time they babies (and now we babysit Gage). He has grown into a fine young man, very involved with the youth group at church, makes top grades and plays football for his high school team. I came across his first grade picture and he had on a football sweatshirt so I thought it would be neat to picture him then and now.

Thanks for looking in and listening to me gush on and on about our Cory!

Her Royal Fluffiness

Being the typical "Miss Fluff", she was more interested in the treats than anything else. She was not happy with her crown at all, I had to take several pics to finally get a good one before she took it off and threw it for the 100th time. LOL. Oh well, I guess she doesn't need a crown to be the princess around here!

First Halloween for Gage

I'm sure he didn't understand it all, but he was totally captivated by the little creature looking back at him from the mirror. This little one simply makes our hearts melt! He is developing his own little personality which is a mixture of sweet, funny and loving combined with a just a dab of "I want it now!" The latter being a total lack of patience which I feel sure comes from his Papaw's side of the family! LOL.

Getting the Parlor Ready

Just wanted to say that I'm glad y'all are still stopping by the veranda.I know I've been a terrible hostess for the past couple of months. There has just been so much going on. In addition to having Gage 3 days (sometimes 4 and sometimes overnight) and Gracie one day a week (and believe me she's at that stage where one day is just about all this old Mamaw can handle with her). I say that with the greatest of love..she is so much fun, but by the end of the day I am totally drained!

Rhett and I have both had doctor's visits and tests to have done, we've had a bridal shower, a wedding, a baby shower and last but not least my family reunion. All of which were wonderful (except the doctor visits) but very time consuming. Trying to get the last scrapbook pages for the family reunion was a challenge as I was having a creative block at the time. I find myself wishing for winter already, when it's too cold to do anything except stay in and play. lol.

I did manage to get these two recent pages done. For Miss Fluff's page I used Angelscrapper's "Bridgett's Garden" (I think..when she was CJS).

Thank you, my dear friends for coming by even when I wasn't here. Y'all are the bestest friends ever and I love you.

A Lovely Couple

Honestly, I didn't forget...I just seem to be moving in slow motion lately. I was going to post this yesterday after I finished with another project, but then I thought it was a little early so I would post it first thing this morning..well, today was a Miss Fluff day. Need I say more? lol.

Well, now that your special day is almost over, I sincerely hope that it was a great day filled with wonderful memories. Rhett and I wish you many more blessed years together. I apologize, my dear friends, for being late posting this. If I leave out extra juleps will y'all forgive me?

So this is what a park is..

The days are not so hot now so we are able to take "Little Dude" out more often. He loves being outside. This was a few days ago on his very first visit to the park. He was all smiles and loved getting his toes in the sand. I have a feeling we will be spending lots of days there as fall approaches.

Just a plain background used here as I seem to be in a 'creative slump' lately. lol

Happy Birthday, Dennis

Better known to us as Farmer McBrown, this is Linda aka Miss Boots better half. Word has it that he is the top farmer in WI. and I think Miss Boots would have to agree with that. She's always busy canning, freezing, etc. all the crops that Dennis provides for the long WI winters. I've heard that some of the best maple syrup comes from Farmer McBrown (never had the pleasure of tasting it, but those who have swear it's the best ever.)
Hope your day is a wonderful one, Dennis and may you enjoy many, many more!

Happy Birthday Al

Sorry I missed your party, Al, but Miss Fluff had one at the very same time as yours. One would think that Miss Gerri could plan a little better than that. lol However, I have made extra mint juleps and have them hidden away just for you, so when Gerri isn't looking you can join Rhett and me on the veranda. Hope your day was a great one and filled with many blessings.

Miss Fluff is 1

First birthday pictures today...party tomorrow. I love this one and can't imagine how I could possibly make it any cuter by scrapping. lol

Gracie

It would seem that Miss Fluff has been looking out the window when Miss G makes her visits to the veranda and has been somewhat influenced by her. She thinks if it's OK for Miss G to take all the juleps, then it must be OK for her to take all the cupcakes!LOL.

I have been trying for what seems like forever to be able to do extractions as well as y'all do...but for the life of me, I can't seem to get the hang of it. Even though my latest attempt with Miss Fluff's pic is somewhat better than I normally do, I'm still not completely happy with it. Oh well...practice, practice, practice!

Miss Gerri can you help me?

My name is Gage and my Mamaw says that her friend, Miss Gerri is really good with bears. So I was wondering, Miss G, if you could help me. I seem to be surrounded by bears! I even have one on my shirt and although I have drooled all over him...he just won't seem to go away. Could you please stop by my Mamaw's veranda and see if you can get them to go home with you? I have heard that you collect bears...some came all the way from Wisconsin to stay at your house. Please, Miss G...help me out here!

Rhett's Birthday

Rhett's birthday started out with of course, a visit from Ashton and he didn't come empty handed...this little one appeared at the door carrying a cake for Papaw. We had our usual breakfast and afterwards Ashton proceeded to show Papaw what you are suppose to do with a birthday cake! First you stick you finger in the icing, see like this...you get a big bunch of icing and then you stick your finger in your mouth! It was so precious, watching them..definitely a moment to remember.

Seems we have been celebrating most of the week because everyone has different schedules. Thursday night Greg, Tammy and Miss Fluff took us to Lonestar Steakhouse to eat dinner, yesterday we grilled out at home, and tonight Kevin and Dawn made a wonderful dinner at their house for Gary's birthday...I think I've gained 15 pounds in the last few days and it wasn't even my birthday LOL!!

Rhett wants me to express his thanks and sends big hugs to you all who made pages for his special day and sent birthday wishes by e-mail. He says you all are very special ladies.

Through The Eyes of a Child

I love this pic of Ashton and Gary. Seems like Ashton is showing Papaw things he would not otherwise notice. I originally made this for a challenge on SF, I'll probably post it to my SF homepage but don't think I'll enter it in the challenge after all.
Hope you all enjoy Ashton showing the world to Papaw.

Happy Birthday Miss G

I know this is a day early (well, actually only a few hours early) but I wanted to be among the first to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear friend! I love this picture of you because of that beautiful smile. I pray that you always have reasons to smile every day. You have given us so many reasons to smile and believe it or not..I love it when you turn us into things on your pages! lol. You are a dear friend and I love you very much. (even though I have to constantly refill the julep pitcher, lol). Have a wonderful day, dear lady...you deserve it!

Gracie Goes Fishin'

Miss Fluff had quite an adventure over the long holiday weekend. Her Papaw and Nana (our son Greg and daughter-in-law Tammy) took her on her first camping trip (in a tent!) Nope,we didn't go. We stayed home in the air conditioning! Besides, we are far too old to do tent camping anymore. We haven't even had our camper out yet this summer. Much too hot! If I'm just gonna have to sit in the camper with the air on, may as well stay home. But Greg and Tammy are much younger so they can handle it. Miss Fluff had so much fun sitting in the dirt and rocks playing, riding in Tammy's brother's boat, playing in the water and pretending to fish. I have more pics of her after playing in the dirt...first time she's ever been dirty! lol. Greg and Tammy go back to work tomorrow so we will have Miss Fluff at 6:00 tomorrow. YES, that would be 6 AM! LOL. Hope she has worked off some of that energy, cause I can't keep up!
Oh..did I mention they refer to me as "Big Mamaw"?...she has learned to call me "Mammy". LOL

Our Very Busy Girl

It has been a while since I've made a page for our older grandchildren so here is an update on Tiffani. You all may recall her as our 16 year old who owns a "gazillion" prom dresses, LOL. Besides being a dress up "girly-girl", she is also one of the most athletic, competitive girls I've ever seen. She is on her high school cheer leading team; she is also a member of a competition cheer leading team, she runs track in high school; and has been in dancing since she was 3 years old. Her Competition Cheer leading Team has won numerous national championships and just recently she won 5 awards in her age category, one prize was a trip to London this coming December and her team will also be in the next Rose Bowl Parade. Excuse me if I sound like I'm bragging...it's just that we are so very proud of her.
In the first pic at top she is the one above the 'ions' in Champions. In the next one she is the last one on the front row. Next pic, she is leading in a track meet.
Then of course we have a prom dress pic. Middle pic on the bottom, she is the middle one on top of the pyramid. The last pic is a copy of a page I did earlier of her progression through dance, preforming as a member of "The Dance Company Studio".
Thank you so much for looking in on our Athletic Girly-Girl.

Ashton is TWO

God is good and we are blessed. Two years ago today our Ashton was born 10 weeks early. He spent almost 1 month in NICU and had to wear a heart monitor when he came home. Now he is SOOOOO TOTALLY TWO!! I say it that way because I can't say "terrible two". We are just so thankful that he's such a normal, healthy little boy. His party was on Sunday, outside, at the park, temperatures were in the upper 90's and even though there was a covered picnic shed and lots of shade trees....it was HOT. Yep, ladies, today is Tuesday and I'm still recovering from this 2 year old's party. LOL.
He loves 'Pider-Man' so that's what's on his cake. In the next pic, Miss Fluff is making car sounds while blowing bubbles and Ashton is holding Gage (who has learned to make bubbles of his own, lol.) These three little ones have us totally where they want us....wrapped around their little fingers.
No..Sylvia...we didn't get him the John Deere Tractor (our daughter beat us to it).
Thanks for looking in on Ashton's 2nd birthday.

Happy Father's Day Daddy

Daddy, how I miss you. You were my hero, my rock, always there for me. Never asking questions or prying but always there to listen, giving advice only when I asked for it. You let me make my own decisions and mistakes and never admonished me for them. Just being there to gently guide me back on track. I try so hard to use these same tactics on my own children and I pray that they will look back one day and be able to say these things about me. You taught me so much, Daddy, stressing the fact that family, honesty and hard work were very important things in life and I could always feel your love.
I miss you, Daddy

JudyBug

Happy Father's Day Papaw

In three short months, this little guy has completely captured his Papaw's heart. There is such a special bond between them. You just have to see them together to feel the effect they have on each other. Gage is all smiles and full of baby noises when he sees his Papaw. That's not to say that Gage is the favorite...they all have a special place in his heart, each in their own special and unique way.

Instant Friends

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting a dear friend in person. Yep, y'all know it's possible to have "dear friends" even though you've never met in person. A friend is someone who touches your heart, just as you all have touched mine, though we've not yet had the chance to meet in person. Today was very special, Sylvia and I met (along with "Rhett" and Doug) for the very first time. Funny...it didn't seem like the first time. It was as if we had known each other forever and who would have guessed we had so much in common. We met and had breakfast at Cracker Barrel (no we didn't get thrown out, but we may have to have breakfast elsewhere next time, LOL). Yes, Miss Gerri we had GRITS, wish you could have joined us!! Afterwards, we sat on the veranda and probably would still be sitting there right now if Doug hadn't said that they had to get on the road. Sylvia's senior class is having a 'birthday party' instead of a reunion because they are all turning ?? this year. (I would say the age but I didn't get permission). Anyway, Sylvia is a TN southern girl by birth so they were on their way to Nashville. Before they left, Sylvia gave me a gift for the veranda...A FRESH MINT PLANT...now we will never run out of mint for the juleps. She also left instructions for me to give love and hugs to y'all !!

Getting Up Early

Yep, getting up early certainly has it's good points. I got up and went in to open the blinds in the living room at 6:30 this morning (yes, to me that's early, lol). As soon as I did that I saw these beautiful guys munching on some clover across the street by the neighbor's driveway. I grabbed my camera, opened the front door and stepped onto the front porch and started snapping pics. At one point they looked up at me and decided I wasn't a threat so they went back to munching clover. When a car came down the street it scared them into the edge of the woods, but as you can see in the larger picture, one of them decided that he wasn't finished with his breakfast yet, and came back for more.

Love

Need I say more? These three little ones just reach out and grab our hearts. Of course we love all our grandchildren equally, but the others are grown and four are teenagers now and aren't too fond of my picture taking anymore. They are usually off doing their own thing and don't have time for Mamaw's 'hobby'. These little ones don't have a choice, they are stuck in front of my camera almost daily with no way to escape. LOL.

A Splashing Good Time

Miss Fluff loves the water. Monday when she was here, Papaw filled the pool and she had a splashing good time. I love how I was lucky enough to snap this at just the right time to catch the water splash. Gage visited and he loves to take a bath but wasn't too happy to be splashed by Gracie, so he was content to sit on Papaw's scooter and pretend to be a Biker Dude. Thanks for lookin' in on our little ones.

someday. Not anytime soon, and no, Miss Sylvia, Papaw did not buy this for Gage. lol. It's Papaw's mode of transportation when we go camping. However, Gage did seem to take a liking to it!!!

A Papaw

will do everything he can to make memories for you. A Papaw will buy you things when it's not even your birthday or Christmas, just because he loves you.
Yesterday, Papaw thought he needed to do a little shopping and this is what he decided to get. Now, mind you, this child is only 2 months old! But, thinking back...he's always been like this with all the grandchildren. I think it's because he has some really wonderful memories of his own grandfather. He's told me things he remembers from childhood with his own grandpaw and I know he wants our grandchildren to have those same kind of great memories with him. Besides, I love scrapping and preserving times like these so that they will be forever etched in their little minds....Papaw..ya just gotta love him!

For My Papaw

This is our "Little Man", Connor Gage. It seems like he always has a smile for Papaw. Maybe it's cause they are on the same wave link. lol. He will lay and stare at Papaw for the longest time, like he's memorizing Papaw's face so he will know who his best buddy is going to be. Mommy has a few more weeks of maternity leave then it's back to work for her and fun time for Papaw and Mamaw. Don't tell Mommy, but we can't wait to get to spend a lot more time with "Little Man". lol

Can you say "demolition"?

Being a homeowner isn't always all it's cracked up to be. Especially when your house is as old as you are! lol. It all started over a week ago when dear Rhett discovered a leak from the hot water heater (which is located in a closet in "his" bathroom). OK, not really a big deal..buy a new water heater. Oldest son comes over and helps with removal and installation. However, upon removal of old water heater, he discovers it had apparently been leaking for a while. QUITE A WHILE! Floor needs replacing...no problem, we have another bathroom (MINE!) so Greg says, he will do it this weekend. Dear Rhett decides, if they are going to replace the floor, might as well do the WHOLE bathroom! This means new sheet rock, new tile around tub and shower, new floor covering and since this is an older house, probably wouldn't hurt to put in new insulation in walls while they are at it.
Sheet-rock, flooring, tile, Oh my!
Needless to say, a weekend project is turning into a WEEK project!

Does anyone know why it is that when you are remodeling just one room, the WHOLE house appears as if you're moving out??? So, oldest son has to go back to work tomorrow and youngest son is off this week. Looks like he will be taking over where big brother left off. Hopefully, things will go smoothly and I can get my house in order soon (and not have to share my bathroom, lol). Good time to start on spring cleaning, I guess.

Saturday Morning with Ashton

If this page looks a little "busy", it's because it really is! Ashton's visit today was an outside day. So warm here, this little guy wanted to be outside. Pic #1 he's picking a dandelion for his Memaw. Pic #2 Playing hide and seek with Big Paw. Pic #3 Papaw finds Ashton. Pic #4 Everyone in the neighborhood knows Ashton is here. Pic # 5, there's nothing Big Paw would rather do than clean the finger and face prints off the glass door, lol. Pic. #6 Sunshine on my tummy makes me happy. Pics. 7 & 8 Big Paw and his best buddy. Her Nana drops her off with us at 7:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. She's ususally still in her pj's, so I get to dress her up. She's always in such a good mood and we have such fun with her. Although, my back and shoulder are usually hurting by the end of the day, I wouldn't have it any other way! What's a little (OK, sometimes a lot of) pain when you have this precious face to look at all day? I'm thinking maybe she will lose some of her "fluffiness" since she is begining to be much more active.

It's Gage Again

I warned you that you would be seeing more of the massive amount of pictures of this little one. lol. Today, I went with Mommy to take Gage for his check up. He had to go last week because, when they discharged him from the hospital, he had lost a few ounces (from 7 lbs. 14oz to 7 lbs. 9oz.) and was just a little jaundiced. Last week it had improved some. Today he was pronounced a completely healthy, perfect baby boy and weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce. He's a good little eater, Papaw says he's trying to catch up with Miss Fluff. lol. That may take a while though, Miss Fluff has a 6 month head start and she has her eating skills down to a fine art. LOL

Gage

Gage had his first professional photos made today. Kevin and Dawn said they had talked about it last night and set a limit as to how much they would spend. They decided no more than $150.00, after all, he's only 1 week old. Well, like we always did with Kevin when he was little, that limit went out the window when they saw the pictures! Double that amount and you will see that they simply could not choose "a few" of the poses. Needless to say, I have a lot of pictures to work with when making pages of our new little angel. Add to those the gazillion pics that I have taken in just one week,LOL. Oh well, I say you can never have too many pictures and I know you all agree with me!
Thanks so much for looking in on our newest blessing.

My First Visit to Papaw and Mamaw's House

After leaving the hospital Wednesday, Kevin, Dawn and Gage made Papaw and Mamaw's house their first stop before going home. Dawn is doing amazingly well, getting around much better than I am, lol. Papaw is thinking Gage is a definite "keeper". Even though he weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 ozs. we think he looks so tiny..of course ya gotta remember we've been babysitting Miss Fluff who is 6 months old and according to her routine doctor visit today weighs in at a "fluffy" 20 pounds 6 ozs. and has grown 3 inches in length since her last visit. Can you say "big girl"? lol. Today they both visited..all we were missing was Ashton (who usually visits on Sat. mornings). Oh, my, Miss Linda...I see lots of wonderful memories in our future!!

Kit for this layout is from Suhfer's Scraps called "Teddy Bear Picnic".

Gage

Here he is, all cleaned up and napping. Went back to the hospital today and took dozens of pics but he was sleeping in all of them. He's resting up...it's a lot of work coming into this big world. They get to come home tomorrow. Big brothers, Jay and Cory have been staying with us (Daddy refuses to leave the hospital, lol). So it has been some long days for this old Mamaw..getting up early to take the boys to school and today I kept Miss Fluff until her Nana got off work, made supper for Rhett and the boys, then off to the hospital in Johnson City (only about 10 miles away). Now it's 1 am and I need to be up at 6 so guess I'd best hit the hay. Will do more pics tomorrow. Thanks for looking in on our new little sweetie.

Introducing...

The little bundle of joy that we have anxiously awaiting. Connor Gage Hill. In this picture he was only minutes old, had not even had his fist bath yet, but Mamaw thinks he is beautiful and can not wait to show him off. It has been a long day for us, even longer for Dawn and Kevin. I had the honor of being present as he made his entrance into the world. To say that we are over joyed is an understatement !! Believe me...more pics will follow ! lol ( Now we have great-grandchildren who are older than our newest grandchild). How blessed we are!!

Thanks for the prayers and sharing in the blessing of this precious bundle of joy !!

Once a nurse...

ALWAYS a nurse. Sorry, I've been MIA for a while. I see Linda and Miss Carol did manage to get my SOS message. LOL

Rhett is on the mend, of course he's getting some great nursing care, lol. He did get to attend Cody's wedding, but wasn't able to stay for the reception. Each episode like this just takes so much out of him, seems like it takes forever for him to be able to do anything. This last one really took a toll on him, he's talking about putting the camper up for sale. Says he just doesn't see any more camping trips in his future. He has a doctor's appointment Monday morning so we'll see how it goes.

Speaking of Monday...Dawn's (our daughter-in-law) doctor says if Connor Gage doesn't make his appearance before Monday, he is going to admit her to the hospital and induce labor. So Monday is lookin' like a busy day around here. Hoping to get to see my new grandson in person!

I had big computer problems Tuesday and it wouldn't let me do anything!!! Couldn't even get into my Photoshop program (now that's a major deal). I tried to send out a short message on chat..had no idea if it got sent or not. But I see from the cbox message that it did get sent. Now, I'm nursing my 'puter. Just got it back today and I'm scared to death that it will have a re-lapse. LOL. So far, it seems to have recovered nicely. I'll do my best to make rounds tonight and leave love and hugs and even a few toddies for everyone.

Love and Hugs,
Miss Scarlett

Precious in Pearls

Our son and daughter-in-law are finding out how wonderful it is to be grandparents. Now they understand why I always said "if I had known how much fun grandchildren were, I would have had them first". LOL. They took Miss Fluff to get pictures made last week. Now, you all know how hard it is to choose from all the poses that the photographer takes...well...they couldn't choose so they bought them all! Needless to say, y'all are going to be seeing a lot of Miss Fluff in the near future! This one just happens to be ONE of my favorites. She's such a little ham (OK, so she's a fluffy ham, lol). Thanks for looking in on our little girl.

Denim and Lace

Yes, Rhett is all better now and we got to keep Ahston today (pages will follow). While he was here our son, Greg, brought Little Miss Fluff by to visit. She and Ashton love each other so much. He stood at the window, looking out, yelling "Gracie", like that would make her appear sooner. We had bought her a new denim dress, size 9 months...(she is 5 months old). Good thing I took lots of pics of her wearing it today..(I'm just sayin') LOL. I know it's only been 2 weeks, but oh my, how we have missed these little ones! What fun Big Papaw and I had today! How very blessed we are!!
