"Nothin' Says Lovin'

like somethin' from the oven". As you know, some of us went on a road trip to welcome Miss Linda back home from her recent hot air balloon trip. As we got out of the tour bus, provided by Miss Gerri and driven by Miss Chris ('cause apparently they think I can't drive in snow), we peeked in Miss Linda's window and saw that she had prepared some freshly baked hockey pucks, I mean cookies, for us. Now isn't that just the sweetest thing, for her to do that for us?
We were so overwhelmed by her hospitality that we ate every single one! Thank you so much, Linda, for your hospitality. Got to go now......have a dentist appointment. I broke a tooth...don't know how that happened!! LOL
Kit is from CJS Creations "Winter Blues". I got the cookies from Jenny's "Yummy for my Tummy". The window png I've had for quite a while, not sure where I got it.

So much love

in this one little bundle! We got to babysit Ashton yesterday for a couple of hours while Mommy went to the doctor. Oh, what fun we had! I took a gazillion pictures of course. This one is my favorite, I put a quilt on the floor and was sitting beside him, saying how much we love him and what a good boy he is.... you know....all the important things that Mamaw's have to say. He seemed to be taking it all in and understanding every word. When we had our children, my heart seemed to fill up. Then we had grandchildren and I thought "I didn't know I still had room in my heart for so much love", then along came great-grandchildren...and we discovered our hearts are overflowing!! Ashton is our little miracle, so is it any wonder that he filled our hearts to the brim and overflowing?
I did this page without a kit. My own color choice, paper pattern, embossing and words. The bow was a freebie from CUFreebies and Ashton is a gift from God.

This is not my first attempt

at word art but it is my favorite. I used flowers from CJS Creations "Always and Forever" kit to embellish it and used the same kit to do this page. This is CJ and Papaw, doing what they do best, having fun. I think she was about 4 years old in this pic and Papaw was her bestest buddy. Funny how something so simple can spark some of the sweetest memories. That's what I was thinking as I did this page and....there ya go....word art! Thanks so much for looking in, I hope you enjoy your visit.

My dear Rhett

I'm sure I've used this pic before, but it's one of my favorites of my dear Rhett. I have been playing around in PSE5, would you believe I've never tried for a blurred background until now? I'm sure this program does things that will amaze me if I work hard enough at it. I just adore this new kit, I love the pastel color and the word art by Miss Linda is lovely. Thanks, ladies for the awesome work you do for us.

Our Memory Cup Overflowing !

What a blessed day we had yesterday! This is our grandson, Jacob Isaiah, being baptized during church services last night. There were so many tears of joy and many songs of praise sung during the service. There may be some who scoff or don't really see the big deal, but to those I say simply, "look around at our world today, our children are under such peer pressure, they are not allowed to pray in school anymore, it seems that God has been given a back seat to everything going on in the world. I firmly believe we have to lead and guide our children, family and friends back to what is important and to get back to the basics of living as our Lord and Saviour requires. If someone doesn't agree, that's your right and I respect your right to believe as you wish and I will love you anyway, but "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord".

Thank you so much for looking in on this joyous occasion for us. The kit used is CJS "Freebie 100".

Jacob Rocks!

This is Jacob Isaiah, our youngest grandchild. My goodness, is he 11 years old already? (Where do the years go?) Anyway, he is a music lover, big time. (It runs in the family) This was taken on Christmas morning and "Jay" rocked out most of the day. Finally he just couldn't rock any longer. LOL Tomorrow is a big day for our family, Jacob will be helping our preacher during morning services, (he has a little skit planned to go along with the sermon) and tomorrow night, Jacob will be baptized along with 4 more children in the youth group at church and a couple of adults. What a blessed day it is going to be. Yep, Miss Linda, we will be filling it to the brim and perhaps even overflowing!! Thanks so much for looking in as we are so proud of this little guy.

This is not a kit..I just played around with the background to try to match his shirt, the musical notes were a freebie from Graphix-4-All. The frame, I've had for ages don't remember whose it is but was a freebie.

On the mend

Rhett wanted to send his appreciation to all you fine ladies who expressed well wishes for him during his latest illness. With his COPD-Emphysema, it seems each time he gets the slightest cold it goes straight to his lungs, which causes us extreme concern about pneumonia. Anyway, he is now on the mend, (not quite up to par), but feeling better. He just said to thank everyone so much for their concern.

Kit is the brand new Monochromemagic by CJS Creations. If you click on the blinkie you will be pleasantly surprised at what is offered for FREE.

Squeaky Clean

I hope you all aren't getting tired of seeing our precious Ashton. I warn you, there will be more pages of him. LOL He loves getting his bath and as you can tell in this picture, he wants to make sure Mommy gets him "squeaky clean". LOL Looks as if he wants her to double check this foot and make sure she got between the toes. LOL
Thanks so much for looking in and sharing in our joy in having this little sweetie in our lives.
Kit is CJS Creations "Gold and Blues".

Ashton's Pony for Christmas

Another picture from Christmas Eve at our house. Yes, Mamaw and Papaw decided what every little boy needs is a pony! We realize he is just a little small for it right now, but Daddy held him on it and he absolutely loved it. He loved it so much that he immediately decided to pull some of it's mane out. LOL It rocks and makes horsey sounds and he will be big enough to climb on himself before we know it. We love this little guy so very much and thank God every day that he is getting stronger and growing more each day. He had a doctor's visit today for shots and he now weighs 13 pounds 12 ounces.

This kit is (I think) from Christmas Around the World 2007, from jenniscrapsdesigns.

So far behind..

My dear and talented friends are getting so far ahead of me in creating. Could be I'm just lazy, could be I haven't had a lot of extra time, but the simple truth is...I'm just not as talented as they are. Oh I suppose I could do a little better, so I'm making that one of my new year's resolutions...to try to learn more about Photoshop Elements. I did manage to learn to change my blog backgrounds without having to bother Miss Carol, every time I wanted to redecorate. LOL. I appreciate the encouragement and I could use all the tips any of y'all want to throw at me!

Thanks for looking in...hopefully, in the near future, I'll make it a little more interesting for you to visit. Leaving love, hugs and prayers for a blessed New Year.
