Rhett's Birthday

Rhett's birthday started out with of course, a visit from Ashton and he didn't come empty handed...this little one appeared at the door carrying a cake for Papaw. We had our usual breakfast and afterwards Ashton proceeded to show Papaw what you are suppose to do with a birthday cake! First you stick you finger in the icing, see like this...you get a big bunch of icing and then you stick your finger in your mouth! It was so precious, watching them..definitely a moment to remember.

Seems we have been celebrating most of the week because everyone has different schedules. Thursday night Greg, Tammy and Miss Fluff took us to Lonestar Steakhouse to eat dinner, yesterday we grilled out at home, and tonight Kevin and Dawn made a wonderful dinner at their house for Gary's birthday...I think I've gained 15 pounds in the last few days and it wasn't even my birthday LOL!!

Rhett wants me to express his thanks and sends big hugs to you all who made pages for his special day and sent birthday wishes by e-mail. He says you all are very special ladies.

Through The Eyes of a Child

I love this pic of Ashton and Gary. Seems like Ashton is showing Papaw things he would not otherwise notice. I originally made this for a challenge on SF, I'll probably post it to my SF homepage but don't think I'll enter it in the challenge after all.
Hope you all enjoy Ashton showing the world to Papaw.

Happy Birthday Miss G

I know this is a day early (well, actually only a few hours early) but I wanted to be among the first to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear friend! I love this picture of you because of that beautiful smile. I pray that you always have reasons to smile every day. You have given us so many reasons to smile and believe it or not..I love it when you turn us into things on your pages! lol. You are a dear friend and I love you very much. (even though I have to constantly refill the julep pitcher, lol). Have a wonderful day, dear lady...you deserve it!

Gracie Goes Fishin'

Miss Fluff had quite an adventure over the long holiday weekend. Her Papaw and Nana (our son Greg and daughter-in-law Tammy) took her on her first camping trip (in a tent!) Nope,we didn't go. We stayed home in the air conditioning! Besides, we are far too old to do tent camping anymore. We haven't even had our camper out yet this summer. Much too hot! If I'm just gonna have to sit in the camper with the air on, may as well stay home. But Greg and Tammy are much younger so they can handle it. Miss Fluff had so much fun sitting in the dirt and rocks playing, riding in Tammy's brother's boat, playing in the water and pretending to fish. I have more pics of her after playing in the dirt...first time she's ever been dirty! lol. Greg and Tammy go back to work tomorrow so we will have Miss Fluff at 6:00 tomorrow. YES, that would be 6 AM! LOL. Hope she has worked off some of that energy, cause I can't keep up!
Oh..did I mention they refer to me as "Big Mamaw"?...she has learned to call me "Mammy". LOL

Our Very Busy Girl

It has been a while since I've made a page for our older grandchildren so here is an update on Tiffani. You all may recall her as our 16 year old who owns a "gazillion" prom dresses, LOL. Besides being a dress up "girly-girl", she is also one of the most athletic, competitive girls I've ever seen. She is on her high school cheer leading team; she is also a member of a competition cheer leading team, she runs track in high school; and has been in dancing since she was 3 years old. Her Competition Cheer leading Team has won numerous national championships and just recently she won 5 awards in her age category, one prize was a trip to London this coming December and her team will also be in the next Rose Bowl Parade. Excuse me if I sound like I'm bragging...it's just that we are so very proud of her.
In the first pic at top she is the one above the 'ions' in Champions. In the next one she is the last one on the front row. Next pic, she is leading in a track meet.
Then of course we have a prom dress pic. Middle pic on the bottom, she is the middle one on top of the pyramid. The last pic is a copy of a page I did earlier of her progression through dance, preforming as a member of "The Dance Company Studio".
Thank you so much for looking in on our Athletic Girly-Girl.
